Optimizing Copywriting for Mobile

Over at Econsultancy, Nikki Gilliland offers four tactics for optimizing copywriting for mobile:

  1. Be sensitive to context. With mobile, consider customizing content by location and device type.
  2. Usability beats tone. Aim for fewer words and stronger calls to action.
  3. Put yourself in your reader’s shoes. Make links user-friendly.
  4. Use available real estate strategically.  The top two-thirds of the screen is where readers will focus their attention.
